If you don't have a meat mallet or rolling pin, a wine bottle makes a good substitute! Use a toothed mallet with care--it can shred the tender meat. - 6/6/14

This seems delicious and very simple. The only comment I would make is that the rosemary should probably fresh and not dried. Pick it up in the produce aisle, not the spice/baking aisle. Fresh is used in these quick recipes, dried is used in recipes that cook for a long time, e.g. stews. - 6/6/14

I think the pounding helps to make the chicken more tender. Having fresh herbs outside the door was one of the best decisions I have made this past decade. I couldn't imagine my summer without them! - 8/23/09

Tripled the recipe, no point in firing up a grill for such a small amount of chicken otherwise....it was ok, don't use too much rosemary, it over powers and is not tasty that way. 6 ounces chicken, not 4, 4 is not enough. - 6/4/17

great, added two garlic. (I found a similar recipe that includes lemon juice or apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup) I let them marinate all day. I did add the apple cider vinegar this time but also have done lemon. ( one lemon) - 6/9/19
