1 cup brown basmati rice- dry3 cups water1 medium onion1 TBLS butter1 cup sweet potato- cubed2 cup peas- frozen1 tsp salt1 tsp garam masala
Caramelize onion in butter, add rice, stir about a minute, add sweet potato and peas. Stir a few more minutes. Then pour into pan of salted boiling water, add garam masala. Stir, bring back to a boil, turn heat down to low, cover and cook for about 50 minutes.
