Island Teriyaki Marinade (from The Healthy College Cookbook)

Ingredients
1/2 cup low-sodium soya sauce1/4 cup packed brown sugar1 1/2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil1 tbsp freshly grated ginger2 cloves garlic, minced1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Marinate meat for at least 1-2 hours before cooking.

In using for a stirfry, I've marinated the meat for a few hours, then taken the meat out and started cooking it in a wok. When adding the veggies, pour part of the remainder of the marinade over top.

When simply grilling the meat, I drizzle some of the marinade on top during grilling.

    I used this with venison and cooked it in the crockpot on low for about 6 hours. Hubby and daughter both said they loved it :) - 1/29/12
