Ingredients
1 lb Ground Turkey, 93% lean1tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil1/4cup tap waterOld El Paso Taco Seasoning (40% less sodium)8 Ortega Yellow Corn Taco Shells1cup Chopped Onion1cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese2cup Shredded Romaine Lettuce1cup Chopped Roma Tomatoes
Directions
*Preheat oven to 375 degrees
*Prep vegetables first.
*Chop tomatoes and set aside
*Shred romaine lettuce and set aside
*Chop onion and set aside
*Add olive oil ground turkey and onion into a skillet. Brown ground turkey constantly mixing. Cook until done and tender. About 7-10 minutes
*Add taco seasoning mix and water to cooked turkey mixture and simmer for 1 minute. Cover with a top.
*Cook taco shells in oven according to box directions. About 3 minutes.
*Assemble tacos, adding turkey mixture first, then lettuce, tomatoes and top with cheese. About 2 minutes.
*Serve. Enjoy!

    I loved the recipe, but hated that it took forever to soak the liquid in. I didn't use the water just the juice from tomatoes. But, it was great! thanks for sharing! - 4/5/11

    I make these all the time...I generally make homemade pico de gallo instead of using store bought salsa. I also buy the pre-seasoned taco flavored ground turkey to save sodium from the taco seasoning packets. - 9/18/10
