Introduction

This is a yummy and moist cake that's worth the effort! This is a yummy and moist cake that's worth the effort!
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    8 eggs
    4 cups sugar
    4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 cup oil
    2 cups vanilla soymilk
    1 T plus 1 t vanilla extract
    1 1/2 T baking powder
    1 t salt
    2 cans vanilla frosting

Directions

Mix eggs & sugar until thick, about 1 minute (no longer). Add remaining ingredients mixing until smooth.

Divide the batter into five small bowls. Use food coloring to achieve desired tints.

Bake in a greased & floured round pans for 30-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle of cake comes out clean.

Allow to cool, then layer the cakes. Spread vanilla frosting in between each layer and decorate as desired.

Makes 24 slices

    I have to admit that 529 calories for a slice of cake that is barely 1" wide (24 servings is a lot from a 8 or 9" cake) is not even in my sites, that would be a whole meal. I agree with Minnie, why is this a Spark recipe? - 3/31/15

    Very Good
    Minnie,I subbed out oil for applesauce and used eggwhites in loo of whole eggs. The substitions make the cake a bit more delicate but very moist.Also I used Splenda instead of sugar and sugar free frosting. Reduced fat and calories and everyone really enjoyed it even the
    Kids.
