Ingredients

    3 lb. chicken, quartered
    1 cup orange juice
    1/3 cup chili sauce
    2 Tbsp soy sauce
    1 Tbsp molasses
    1 tsp dry mustard
    1 tsp garlic salt
    2 Tbsp chopped red peppers
    1 (13.5 oz) can mandarin oranges

Directions

Arrange chicken in slow cooker. In separate bowl, combine juice, chili sauce, soy sauce, molasses, dry mustard and garlic salt. Pour over chicken. Cover. Cook on low 8-9 hours. Stir in green peppers and oranges. Heat 30 minutes longer. Serve 4-6.

    I doubled this recipe and it was delicious. I cooked it for about 9 hours, and the chicken was tender and good. It was served over couscous, but rice or noodles would be good, too. You want something to absorb the wonderful sauce. I'm freezing the second half to enjoy in a couple of week - 3/30/09
