Going to try this. Ive been wondering how to make it without a grill
Some body ask for how long in a 400 f oven. I tried this and after 35 minutes id was starting to bubble up but not turn black. It was well cooked by then

I hope you can answer this question. Is it okay, health wise, to eat the outer skin that you discarded in the video? We eat it and it's the most delicious part in my opinion.
I too wonder how to make these in bulk and what to do to safely store them.

I didn't know how to roast peppers before, so I always buy mine bottled. Thanks for the tip. Now I can definitely make my own roasted peppers. It's easy and healthy, too.
LOOKS VERY GOOD. I was wondering how to do this the right way and keep their flavor.
If you find the "Anaheim" or "California" peppers and roast them as has been shown, the slices or "rajas" as we call them are delicios with all kinds of meals. We make delicious tameles of slices of roasted pepper with cheese (tamales de rajas con queso)
Don't know why I never thought of doing this before. Probably because I didn't know how to roast them right. Off to the grocers today. Thanks for the lesson.

By lightly rubbing the skin with a bit of olive oil, the roasted chiles can be frozen in bulk. The oil on the skin lets the frozen parcel be separated with ease.
I wonder if this can be done in bulk and frozen in parcels. Anybody know?

gave me a great idea and I LOVE the flavor, but didn't recall the video saying how long to cook them and I had to search. Adding them to a roasted chicken garden salad for lunch :)

I have been doing this for some time. I think that my greatest mistake is not having the patience to wait for them to get thoroughly blackened.
You can use this same method with fresh green or red chiles. Just use gloves when peeling and do not touch your eyes.

Great! It was good to see that. I usualy put oil on now I know also how to do it without a grill is good to know. It will be good with humus and for soup and sauces too.

This recipe is great! I have been doing this for some time and they are great additions to turkey wraps as well. However, I add some fresh garlic, parsley and a little EVOO and keep it in the fridge in a glass container, so I always have some on hand and ready to eat. Enjoy!!!
Great tip now I can roast peppers instead of buying them
The rinsing is great for bell peppers, but I wouldn't recommend it for chili peppers unless you wear gloves. You can also roast them on cookie sheet in the oven.

Finally, I know how to roast peppers! Now I do not have to buy the pre-packaged kind!
I just aked my daughter last night if she knew how to roast peppers. I tried my own made up method. I won't say I failed, but, this video shows I wouldn't have gotten the highest grade in the class.
I tried the oven,took over 40Min. just to turn brown, so I just took it out,it like flop over dead.Had to laugh. but will try with a grill....did have fun.and learned something
We have a little propane grill. I stick the peppers on a fork and turn them while holding over the flame. But putting them in the oven a 400 seems much easier. Thank you.

the quality of the image and sound on my connection was very poor. I could not make out what the chef was saying even at maximum volume and would have preferred a written article to read at my leisure.
How ironic! I made a taboulli salad tonight with roasted red and yellow peppers. I put them in a "George Foreman"-type grill, then spent way too long peeling them. This was GREAT! Wish I had seen this before cooking tonight.
