- Number of Servings: 12
Ingredients
Directions
8 oz fat-free cream cheese2 tbsp chopped green bell pepper2 tbsp chopped onion2 tbsp crushed pineapple2 tbsp chopped pimentos1/2 tsp garlic powder or other seasoned salt, more or less according to your tastes.
Finely chop the green bell pepper, onion, pimentos, and pineapple.
Put the cream cheese in a mixing bowl and stir it until it is soft.
Stir in the chopped ingredients and the garlic or seasoning salt. You could also substitute a clove of fresh garlic, if you like the flavor.
Line an appropriate-sized container with plastic wrap, and pack in the dip.
Chill until firm.
Serve by turning over the container onto your cracker tray and peeling off the plastic wrap, and viola, a very colorful cheese dip.
Note - The amounts here are the basic ratio - if you're serving a gathering of 6-8 people a light snack of chips or crackers and this, this will more than suffice.
**Total yield of the recipe is about 1.5 cups of dip.**
Nutrition values are based on a serving size of 1 oz (2 tbsp).
My Aunt tends to make a double batch, and uses a cool-whip container as her mold.
