Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Browned Butter

40 Asparagus spears, trimmed ( about 2 pounds)Cooking spray1/4 teaspoon kosher salt1/8 teaspoon black pepper2 tablespoons butter2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Arrange asparagus in a single layer on baking sheet; coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes or until tender.
Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat; cook for 3 minutes or until lightly browned, shaking pan occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in soy sauce and vinegar. Drizzle over the asparagus, tossing well to coat. Serve immediately.

I made a few changes by using 2T. balsamic vinegar to 1T. soy sauce. Definitely brown the butter. I sprinkled a special herb salt on the sprayed asparagus (not just the dish) before baking in foil-sealed dish for 8 minutes, removed foil, poured glaze over asparagus, & baked 8 min. more.
