You can lower the calories etc by using 93% lean turkey or chicken NOT beef. Lower the fat by using fat free feta. Omit the salt. New values approx. 195 cal, 8.1 fat, 535 sodium. Perfect. Thanks for the idea. - 3/20/09

These were really good. I struggled the last time I tried to make turkey burgers to get them moist. I used ground turkey and tomato-basil feta, skipping the oregano and these were moist and delish. Thanks! - 6/25/07

Good, but next time I will definitely put in less oregano - too much!! - 2/18/08

Very good! I don't care for oregano, but you can add any spice you would rather have. - 3/17/09

These sound really good. I will probably use turkey. I used ground chicken for another recipe and the butcher at my local meat shop thought I was nuts (though he did run it through the grinder for me). The feel of raw ground chicken was nasty ~ not something I want to do again soon. - 3/17/09

These burgers were great! I used ground turkey (like most) and a Foreman grill to cook them. I used a little less oregano but that was all I changed. We ate them on onion rolls... mmmmmm - 1/5/10

These were very good. I made them with ground turkey, but I'd recommend not using turkey breast. Though it's lower in fat, it's very dry. - 8/13/07

I just had these for dinner and WOW!! They are so good I ate two. But I figure if I leav out the bun I'm not doing too badly. These would make great meatballs too. - 7/4/07

OMG! These are sooo good. I always get rave reviews on them, plus they are super simple and fast to make. I even tried cooking these stove top in a fry pan and it worked great-- about 6 mins a side. - 4/2/10

Amazing! We used ground turkey and the feta we found had garlic and bell pepper in it. With a side of veggies, such a great meal! - 3/19/09

Easy to make because it doesn't have "fancy" ingredients, and they tasted great. - 10/2/08

This is a staple in my recipies. Only problem with this one is that it's so good, you'll want to eat more than one! - 4/19/08

I made it with ground chuck out on the BBQ grill. Delicious and my boyfriend loved it, eating it without the usual ton of ketchup. - 9/20/07

This was really good but a bit much Oregano for me. I'd make it again but cut the oregano down to 1Tbsp. - 9/5/07

I'd make these again. I thought they were good, moist and flavorful. I added basil, italian seasoning, garlic powder and chives to mine :) A nice change from regular hamburgers. Thank you. - 7/18/07

I made this and left the salt out as the cheese provides plenty and used fat free feta and served in a pita with tomatoe and yogurt mixed with chopped mint to make it a little more mediteranian!! Really excellant!! - 7/8/07
