cheddar broccoli soup

Ingredients
Half and Half Cream, 4 cupCarrots, raw, 2 cup, shreddedBroccoli, frozen, .5 package (2 lb)Butter, salted, .5 cup*Flour, white, .5 cupSwanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, 4 cup*Kraft 2% Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 16 ozOnions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
Directions
saute onion in 2 tbs butter, set aside, make a roux from flour and butter, add in half & half , chicken broth, 20 min. add shredded carrots, broccoli until soft, put in a blender puree and put back in pot, add shredded cheese.
