Apple pie bars

Ingredients
1 granny smith apple, grated1/2 cup date paste (pureed dates, you can make this yourself by combining 10 dried dates with water and blending in a blender or you can buy some ready-made)4 tablespoons flax meal4 tablespoons water1/2 cup oatmeal1/2 cup oat flour (ground oatmeal)2 tsp cinnamon1 tsp salt
Directions
1. mix flax and hot water in a bowl and set aside.
2. grate apple and squeeze out extra water.
3. sprinkle with salt and cinnamon, stir to coat
4. add date paste and flax, stir
5. add oatmeal and oat flour, stir
6. press into a pan, bake
7. add a strip of icing, if you'd like
