Yogurt Jello

Ingredients
Directions
1 package sugar-free Jello1 cup boiling water1 cup plain lowfat yogurt
Mix the sugar-free Jello envelope with the 1 cup boiling water until dissolved.
Stir the jello/water mixture into the 1 cup yogurt until well mixed, being sure to do this very slowly so as not to curdle the yogurt.
Divide into 4 half-cup servings (the little gladware containers are great for this!) and refrigerate until set, between 2 and 3 hours.
At less than 50 calories a serving, this is a refreshing and satisfying snack or dessert that I should liken to a parfait. One could make 2 1-cup servings for a very satisfying snack under 100 calories. I like using raspberry or blackberry flavoured jello, myself, but let your imagination run wild trying different flavours!

This has become a staple snack in our house. We've been struggling to find things that we can snack on that are healthy, and don't have a lot of extra calories. This is great. I make them up in tiny canning jars so the hubby and I can take them to work and school. I really recommend this. - 1/25/11

Made this with cherry jello and blueberry Greek yogurt. Yum! I've always loved jello. Never had anything quite like this. Next time I need something for a potluck, I'm going to make a layered jello with alternating layers of plain jello and yogurt jello. Maybe make each layer a different flavor. - 9/17/12

I used Dannon Light and Fit Vanilla. And the first time I made it I used Black Cherry. My husband and I loved it!! In fact, we loved it so much, I just made my second batch in 3 days. Today, I'm trying strawberry. I bet it will be GREAT!! Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe. - 9/29/12

Delicious, nutritious treat. I am allergic to dairy but made this for my husband. I peeled, sliced and baked two peaches and drained the juice off of them (lots of juice). I used the juice with enough water to equal a cup to boil and mix with peach jello. Chopped the peaches and added them. Yum - 9/8/15

SO GOOD!! Jello is a great low-cal snack/dessert, but it can get boring. This is a yummy way to jazz it up and still keep it low-cal. I used Black Cherry jello and Dannon Lite Vanilla yogurt. Delicious and a huge 1 c. portion = only 65 cals! Can't wait to try some other flavor combos! - 11/7/09

I have a friend that is on a feeding tube and she can eat this. Marvelous dessert for older persons. I make whipped short bread for her to go with it at Christmas as that she can manage too. She used this dessert at her 50th Anniversary. She is a treasure. - 12/29/13
