I didn't have any dry onion soup mix and I'm just not a red wine person. I added a cup of low sodium vegetable broth and 3/4 cup of white wine and it turned out yummy. I poured the juices over boiled new potatoes. Next time I'll try it with the soup mix as suggested but will keep the white wine. - 11/16/12

I used Worcestershire sauce, added a some Mrs. Dash, left in the crock pot for 5-5 1/2 hours, which really made it fork tender. however i think i will skip the red wine sauce next time. I can still smell the wine , very little but im not a big wine drinker so. Husband like it very much, 2 servings - 11/3/09

This sounds good and I am going to try tomorrow (without soy to keep sodium down, plus not big fan), but I was thinking it might be nice over spaghetti squash that I just bought to try to use instead of pasta, since it's in season and so easy. That's my suggestion for making it a full meal! - 10/6/09
