Vegetarian Sausage with Braised Cabbage

Ingredients
1 head fresh green cabbage, thinly sliced1 link Vegetarian Sausage, such as Tofurky Italian Sausage or Boca Italian Sausage, sliced1 tablespoon Olive Oil2 tablespoons of waterOptional salt, pepper, and a seasoning blend such as Mrs. Dash.
Directions
Chop the Cabbage into thin strips
Slice the Vegetarian Sausage into rounds

Saute both in the Olive Oil and water.

Cover and cook for about 10 minutes over low heat, stirring every so often, until the cabbage is soft & lightly browned.

Season to taste with salt, pepper, and a seasoning blend such as Mrs. Dash.

    We often eat cabbage stirfried in olive oil. So I tried this recipe. To be honest we so disliked the taste of the Boca sausage that I would rather just eat the cabbage without it. - 8/18/11
