Ingredients
Directions
Souvlaki:1 package boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1 inch chunks2 tbsp olive oilGreek Seasoning1 tsp Oregano4 cloves garlic½ tsp black pepperJuice of one lemonZest from one lemon*this is not in the list as I couldn't find nutritional info on lemon zest.*
Souvlaki:
In a large bowl, coat the chicken with the Greek seasoning, rubbing it into the pieces very well. Then add the rest of the ingredients, toss to coat well. Cover and set in fridge to marinate at least 1 hour, but longer is better.
Place on skewers and grill over low heat until the juices run clear.
You can serve the souvlaki with pita, red onion slices, lettuce, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce if you like.
Note: Prep time includes the marinating time of one hour for the chicken.

Greek Seasoning is a store bought blend that combines common spices used in Greek cooking. Look for it where spices are sold.

I love, love, love Greek food, so glad to see this recipe, I will make it - but I prefer chicken breasts. When I make it, I'll rate it - but it sounds good :) - 7/15/08

I'm sure it would work well with Chicken breasts, and even pork too! I prefer the tenderness and moisture from Chicken thighs when grilling, but it's a personal choice.
