Thanks for the quick use of my left over canned salmon! I too will probably defer to using low fat mayo instead of Miracle Whip (mom made us eat too much of MW growing up. Blah.) LOL - 11/2/08

This is a good basic. I like to add things like fresh herbs and lemon juice that don't add calories but continue to add flavor. - 10/7/13

This was my first try with canned salmon and I love it. So easy to prepare and can be used so many ways, on sandwiches, on a salad, stuff a tomatoe, etc. Thanks for sharing. - 1/31/13

This is/was good. I was just about to make Tuna salad when I noticed I had a can of salmon. Definately a lunch staple. Thanks! - 2/9/10

I love salmon salad! For a hearty meal, I add water chestnuts as well as celery, dill pickles, eggs, and fresh salmon. It is great in a sandwich or on a bed of lettuce. Fresh salmon is plentiful in the Northwest, easy and fast to cook, and tastes much better than canned salmon. - 5/20/09

This does look better than tuna salad. I think I'll try it. I'm going to check # of calories in both Miracle Whip & mayonnaise, because my husband really likes mayo! - 9/3/08
