Ingredients
Directions
1 whole chickenMrs. Dash Garlic and Herb Seasoning1/2 can light beer (You can also use root beer or lemon-lime soda, but beer tastes best!)Non-stick cooking spray
Remove any giblets from the chicken.
Open the beer and pour half of it out. Sprinkle Mrs. Dash inside the cavity of the chicken. Rub the seasoning all over the outside as well.
Line a baking sheet with foil, then set the beer can in the middle. Place the chicken on top of the can so it stands up.
Grill on low for 2-3 hours (or bake at 300 degrees F), until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
Rotate the chicken halfway through cooking.
Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes, then carve the wings, legs and breasts off the can. It should be very easy, as it should almost fall off the bone. Peel the skin off and enjoy!

Easy and delicious recipe! I used Penzey's Northwoods seasoning rather than Mrs. Dash, salt and pepper, a little EVOL and half a can of beer. Checked for thigh temperature to pass that magic 180 mark and pulled it from the grill. Great dinner with a little salad and lots of left overs. A Keeper! - 5/8/15
