Rumbamel's Cheddar Apple Pie Dip

-1/2C Daisy Lite Sour Cream-8 oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese-1 1/2 C Kraft 2% sharp cheddar shredded cheese-1/2C chopped walnuts (I used Diamond)-2 C chopped apple -1/2t ground cinnamon-1/2 c lite brown sugar packed
Mix the first list of sour cream, cream cheese and cheese and layer in the bottom of a 9" pie plate.
Combine the other list and then put it on top of the cream cheese mix.
Heat the mix in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Let sit for 10-15 minutes to firm up and then enjoy with crackers like triscuits or wheat thins (not in the nutritional value).
Makes about 5 3/4C. 23 servings of 4 T each

Incredibly tasty! I used fat-free sour cream, only 1/4 c. brown sugar, and pecans instead of walnuts. Also, on recommendation of a friend--for flavor and color, used one green and one red apple. Took it to a party and people LOVED it. :) - 3/21/10

The original recipe had 1 red and 1 green apple, but I never have those around. We don't eat the red ones. Usually Fuji or Honeycrisp, something kind of mixed color. I'll have to try less brown sugar next time I make it, too. Thanks!
