I made this a few nights ago. Served it over multi grain rice. Very yummy and filling. Left overs were good for work lunches for a few days. Freezes well too. - 1/11/09

This recipe is great! But I did spice it up! I added more ginger and used chopped garlic instead of powder! I also used 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce and 1 tbsp low sodium teriyaki sauce. I also added some red pepper flake for heat. I stir fried some veggies and served it with that.
    Very Very YummY - 1/6/09

Loved this!I served it over white rice and added sauteed broccoli to the dish to up the veggies.
Also, I never use corn starch to thicken, I have a couple different tricks, but for this recipe I pureed about half a can of carrots w/ some of the pineapple and stirred it in to thicken, upping the veg - 11/13/09

It is the crock pot now - easy to prepare - followed other comments and added minced garlic, ginger and added chili pepper flakes. I also left out the brown sugar since some say too sweet. We will see how it is after work. - 1/20/09

A little bland for my families tastes, we like foods with more of a kick. Recipe was easy to make and directions easy to follow. Thanks - 12/5/08

I loved this so much. I'll admit, it lacked color but that can be easily solved. Easy to make, though I would suggest cooking it on low instead of high. - 6/6/10

This was good, but as others have said, a little bland. I used just a little teriyaki sauce as a condiment and it made the dish. - 12/29/09

This was really great. I took the advice of others and used more ginger and garlic and a little less brown sugar. Delicious over brown rice! - 11/10/09

I read everybody's suggestions and upped the garlic and ginger but it was still too bland for me. - 8/20/09

Yummy! I made it with chicken thighs and used the pressure cooker. This is now one of hubby's favorite recipes. Really good as leftovers!

Just tried this tonight, and made it with fresh ginger and garlic, and it tasted great! My hubby liked it too, which says alot seeing as he hates pineapple! Thanks for a great recipe! I'll make it again for sure

I made this on the stovetop because I didn't have the time to make it in the slow cooker.

This was a tasty recipe but a bit too sweet for my liking. I would have it again but not very often. It makes a nice change from the ordinary. - 1/13/09

I made this for dinner tonight and served it over some rice. It was very easy to prepare. Next time I will add a bit more ginger and garlic to boost the flavors. The house smelled great while everything was cooking! - 12/16/08

I prefer something with more complex flavors... wasn't sure what to add to it to round it out. I upped the ginger and garlic per others' suggestion. Tasted fine. - 5/3/11

Chicken is sooo tender from the slow cooker and the flavors are were just enough for my boyfriend and I. No flavor overpowered the dish but it was all very flavorful and balanced. The pineapple adds a nice texture too. Delicious and easy! - 2/23/11

The flavor was not as interesting as I expected. Not bad, just kind of bland. - 12/15/10

The chicken turns rubbery when slow cooked. This might be good if cooked on the stove top. I did like the pineapple. - 11/23/10

A little on the bland side, but I liked the warm tender chicken and pineapple combo. Will probably make this again. - 9/12/10

Somehow my chicken came out very dry. I put it in the crockpot before I left for work and ate it for dinner. The sauce was good though. - 9/3/10
