These cookies taste just like cupcakes, but so much easier to make. I flattened the balls before putting them oven to look more like cookies and it turned out great. Love this recipe! - 12/22/08

These are very yummy! I used a triple fudge chocolate cake mix and holiday colored sugar sprinkles! I also tried a sugar free yellow cake mix which was good if you like splenda in baked goods! I too flatten the balls to make them more like a cookie. Plan to make the lemon as well. - 12/17/11

Fast, easy, yummy and lo-cal. What more could anyone ask for. I used lemon cake mix too, then mixed the icing sugar with a few drops of lemon juice andand 2 drops of yellow colouring and painted the tops of the cookies with the thin icing I flattened them first too so thy were more like a cookie - 10/23/18

I made these for Christmas, and they were very good...and very easy! They are soft with a good flavor and they were pretty on a tray with other cookies. - 1/10/14

These were just Ok, but the recipe really didn't make all that many cookies. Granted, my cookies were a bit larger than 1 inch, but not by much. Anyway, they will get eaten but will I ever make them again? - 1/6/14

I'm thinking that this would be good with a chocolate cake mix instead of yellow. - 12/21/13

plan to make these for an Easter "cookie walk" at church by incorporating colored sugars into the powdered sugar to give it a bit of a pastel tint, - 3/29/12
