Best bagel recipe I have ever tried (and I have tried a lot) ! I used almond milk and my kitchenaid mixer to mix them for about 5 minutes and then followed the recipe . Yummy ;) - 12/19/14

This is a great, very easy recipe! We added some flaxseed as well and the flavor even made my hubby happy. Only complaint is that they're not crispy, but still delicious! - 2/4/11

    I had no applesauce so I added a banana. I loved them! - 9/7/10

I skipped the salt and added just a dab of vanilla (and added some mini-chocolate chips for the kids). They were great, except that they kept sticking to my waffle iron. I had to spray it thoroughly between each waffle. It made exactly 10 on my flower/heart shaped iron. - 8/28/10

My kids thought these were very good. I have not tried them yet. I doubled the recipe so I would have some to freeze and pop in the toasted for later. After reading some reviews, I used an egg and an egg white. I also added some vanilla for a little flavor. Will make these again! - 7/12/10

OMG! These were wonderful!! I only needed to make 2 waffles for myself so I put the rest in the fridge to throw in the waffle iron during the week, and am totally looking forward to eating these all week! - 8/9/09

These were quite good, but I think next time I may add one whole egg and one egg white or a couple of tablespoons of canola oil. Just personal preference in wanting them just a bit crispier. - 7/31/09

I added 1/4 cup of flax seed and used my Belgian waffle maker. I only got 6 out of it (Belgian waffles being bigger), but they were delicious. My picky daughter loved them too! And so easy to make! We will definitely have these again. - 6/29/09
