Tried this last night. Added more veg and used chicken italian sausage. It worked out to 8 servings for us, which reduced the calorie count by half!

Will definitely be making this again. This is an excellent base to use to create a variety of different meals. - 4/6/13

I absolutely LOVED this!!! I'm sure my hubby will say the same when he eats it after work. The flavor is just great. I used turkey sausage so I'm assuming the calorie count went down. Thanks! I will definitely make this again. - 3/11/13

This is a favorite wintertime staple at my house. I add more veggies, and bake a little longer. Leftovers are delicious! - 3/1/13

Looking forward to trying this. I like to use the Butterball lowfat turkey smoked sausage for less fat. It has a nice flavor. - 11/14/11

This was amazing! Very easy to throw together, smelled scrumptious while it was roasting, and tasted out of this world. Will make again and again! - 10/31/10

My husband loves dishes like this! He really like this and has requested that I make it again. I used a locally made "North Country Sausage" for the sausage - which is our favorite sausage. Root vegetables make this a healthier way to prepare sausage. - 9/30/10

I added some olive oil about halfway through because it was starting to look a little dry, but this was really good! - 4/17/10

WONDERFUL recipe. I substituted Jenni-O turkey sausage and cooked it beforehand before adding it to the recipe, which took some calories out. I cut the carrots on the bias, and used regular carrots instead of baby carrots and they were cooked to perfection. - 4/13/10

I enjoyed the hearty dish. Simple, Easy, and tasty.
( wish the sausage wouldn't have so much salt) Maybe I can look for a lower sodium sausage next time. - 2/11/10
