Chili for us oldies

Ingredients
1 lb. very lean ground beef3/4 cup chopped onion 3/4 cup chopped celery1 clove garlic, minced1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes2 cans (16 oz can) kidney beans1 can (8 oz can) tomato sauce3/4 cup water1 tsp. chili powder1 Tbsp. dried parsley4 whole Cloves1 tsp. dried cumin1 bay leaf
Directions
Brown crumbled ground beef, onion, celery, garlic in a nonstick skillet. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT for kidney beans, mix well, and simmer over low heat for an hour. Remove whole cloves. Add kidney beans and heat through.
Makes four 1.5 cup servings.
