Loved this and can't wait to make again. I changed a few ingredients to make it slightly lower in calories and fat. I used low fat sour cream and reduced fat cream Cheese. I used a 1/4 cup chopped onion and real garlic instead of the powers. MMMmmmmm!!! - 3/28/11

I just read this somewhere else where someone substituted Greek Yogurt for the sour cream - I'm going to give it a try tonight! - 4/21/11

While this recipe was very good, it really wasn't the same as mashed potatoes. Next time, I will add rosemary and fresh pressed garlic to it and maybe some real onion. I also added shredded cheese to the top. Everyone ate it (4 kids and hubby) and I enjoyed it. - 2/28/12

Made this two times now and my hubby begs for it once a wk now. I added half a cup of non fat cottage cheese, use non fat sour cream and non fat cream cheese and blend the mixture in a blender. sprinkled with a tiny bit cheese. Turns out fantastic! Thanks so much for the recipe. - 9/14/12

My family are very skeptical when it comes to trying new dishes. But this one was a great success! My 10 year old help me make it and it was so simple. This is definitely my fav instead of mashed potatoes! Thanks so much. - 10/5/10

I was scared to try mashed cauliflower as a friend told me that she didnt care for the as the flavor too strong. I actually like this- I think next time I would use Top-the-tater sour cream instead of plain. - 2/7/11

Used lower calorie versions of sour cream and the cream cheese, which brought total down to 42 calories per 1/2 cup serving. Also use this recipe for shepherds pie, etc.
Everyone loves it, no matter how it's used!! - 10/28/14

These are great! They fill you up like regular mashed potatoes! Definitely a staple in our house! Thanks for sharing! - 11/18/10

Love this recipe! I tweaked it a bit in that I had a small head of cauliflower, so I halved the amount of sour cream and cream cheese it called for. I also omitted all seasonings in favor of a lemon-garlic seasoning blend. :-) - 10/3/10

I tweaked it just a bit based on my own tasted, but it's a really great base. I used minced garlic and added just a bit of shredded cheese to the food processor before mixing it all together. Even my 3 year old ate it! - 8/5/10

My friend and I were on the South Beach diet a few years ago and this was one of the recipes we tried. Shocking how much it smelled and tasted like real mashed potatoes! Thanks for sharing the recipe. I'd been looking for it for a while now. :-) - 7/27/10

My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. I used fresh garlic instead of powder (about 1/2 clove minced). I really like garlic, so that made it for me. Also, instead of sour cream, I used Fage 0% greek yogurt. - 5/23/10

They are very good. I have never had anything like this, so I tried them. I really enjoy them but they dont really remind me of "mashed potatoes". Maybe by them being white is about it. But they did taste great and I will be making again. - 8/5/15

Really good! The texture is almost a bit like grits. I added a cup of shredded hard cheese (burr oak, but parmesan or romano would work too) before baking. - 7/3/10
