Nutty Maple Cinnamon Bars

1 cup oats3 tbsp chopped or slivered almonds4 scoops protein powder1 tsp cinnamon3/4 cup applesauce1/2 tsp vanilla extract1/4 cup pure maple syrupolive oil cooking spray
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In blender process 1/2 cup of the oats. Put in a large bowl. Stir in remaining oats, almonds, protein powder and cinnamon. Then combine applesauce, vanilla and syrup together with dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
Cut 6 squares of aluminum foil into 4 x 8 inch pieces. Spray with olive oil spray. Spoon mixture evenly among the foil squares. Roll them into a bar shape. Fold them like tamales, folding in the ends to prevent spillage.
Bake foil-wrapped bars on a baking sheet for 16-18 minutes.
Do not overcook.
Store in sealed container in the fridge.

I have made them and I liked them. Some people have a real SWEET tooth. Maybe it was not sweet enough! LOL!
