Sweet and Sour Ahi Tuna

Ingredients
2 6 oz Ahi Tuna steaks3 Tbsp olive oil1/2 large onion (or 1 small)1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup red wine or cider vinegar
Directions
Saute onion in olive oil over med-high heat for 5 min until soft. Reduce heat to med-low, cooking onions until caramelized, approx. 15-20 min. Remove oinion from pan and add tuna steaks, searing on each side for 1-2 min. Remove tuna from pan. Add vinegar and sugar, stir until sugar is dissolved. Add onion back to pan and simmer until sauce is slighlty thickened, approx. 5 min. Add tuna and simmer for another 3-5 min. Serve with caramelized onion and a drizzle of sauce.
