Ingredients
Directions
Hoki, 4 fillets, or enough for four peopleThickened Cream, roughly 1.5cupsPotatoes, 2 per person (small) 1 per person (large)Carrots x 2Broccoli x 1 large headDill, Sage, Thyme and Pepper to your liking
Makes 4 servings, or 1 fillet per person.
Chop and boil the potatoes for mashing, put on the boil.
Place the fillets on a sheet of aluminum foil. Sprinkle with pepper and wrap the foil over the fish. Place on a tray and grill for 10-15min.
Bring cream to a simmer in a pot on medium heat. Add herbs to your tastes. Simmer until the cream starts to smell of the herbs. Lower the heat, or remove from heat.
Put carrots and broccoli to steam. Remove when they are knife tender, but not falling appart.
Mash your potatoes. Place on a plate with the carrots, broccoli and fish (the fish should be ready by now). Drizzle the fish with the cream sauce (I personally drizzle the sauce over the whole plate).
For a kid friendly version, flake the hoki and mix with the mashed potato (mine will NOT eat fish...apparently). My kids can't get enough of it when I mix the fish with the potato, add a little cheese and top it with tomato sauce....there is no explaining the taste in children.
