PR's Spag aux Clams

Ingredients
2 Portions Pasta (+Water to cook)1 Pat Butter (Or replace half with Olive oil)1 Can Whole Baby Clams WITH JUICE2/3 can water3 Cloves Garlic, minced1/2 tsp each: Salt, Pepper, Hot pepper flakes, Oregano
Directions
Boil water for pasta. In the meantime, melt butter in small saucepan on med-high. Add garlic and hot pepper flakes, cook about 1 minute (Do not let garlic brown/burn), add clams WITH JUICE plus 2/3 of a can of water. Add salt, pepper, oregano, bring to boil, reduce heat (Do not overcook, clams will get tough). Add tomato paste.
Separate pasta in two bowls, spoon clams over pasta, pour remaining liquid, enjoy with fresh parmesan.

    Delicious! So easy! This is a keeper! I added 1/2 cup of white wine and an envelope (13.5 ounces) of Bertolli pasta sauce to the recipe instead of tomato paste. This recipe is so good, I would double it to make enough for a pound of linguine. - 4/9/10
