Ingredients

1 pack (20 oz) Jennie-O Extra Lean Ground Turkey
3 eggs (1 whole, two whites)
    1/2 c. quick oats
    1 large red onion, diced
    3 jalapeno peppers, diced
    1/2 c. teriyaki sauce
    3 oz blue cheese
    2 T. Frank's Red Hot
Garlic, salt, pepper, and/or your favorite seasoning blend, to taste

Directions

Dice red onion and jalapeno, sautee 5-10 minutes in olive oil until onion is translucent. Make sure you use your oven fan or the jalapenos will smoke you out of your kitchen!

Combine all other ingredients in large bowl, stir with hands. Two options for cooking:

(1) BAKED -- Spray muffin pan with non-stick spray, fill with mixture. Bake for 30 minutes at 400 degrees, remove from tins when cooled, wrap up and serve warm.

(2) ON THE GRILL -- Form 12 balls, flatten slightly and dent in center with thumb (to prevent rounding on the grill). Cook burgers on a gas or charcoal grill for about 8 min per side, until fully cooked in the center.

    Incredible!
Absolutely LOVE it! The only thing I added was 1 tbsp liquid smoke and left out the garlic, salt, pepper, etc. just because I forgot. I baked them in the oven and although my husband was skeptical he had three. He even took some to work for lunch today - which never happens. Excellent!! - 5/23/12

    Incredible!
I made these twice so far, the first time I made one batch and the second time I made two batches (12 muffins). I use 1/3 cup of oats, 1/3 cup of teriyaki sauce and 1/2 medium red onion and 2 jalapenos instead of 3 to cut down on calories. I renamed it turkey meatloaf muffins. - 3/7/11

I liked these burgers, but I was confused about the nutritional information because when I calculated it myself each burger had about 14 grams of protein. I checked and the calculations are based on 40 ounces (2 packs) of turkey, not 20 ounces (1 pack) which is what is listed in the directions. - 11/2/10

    Incredible!
SOOOOOOOO Good!! Was a little skeptical when mixing as the mixture seemed very wet, and I had only used 1 egg & less teriyaki but I added more oats (additional 1/4 cup) made patties & put them on wax paper and put them in the freezer for 15 minutes and then on the grill - 8 mins, flip then 6 mins. - 10/25/10
