How To Check Temperature with Meat Thermometer (Chicken, Turkey)
Directions
Preheat over to 375 degrees.
Dry the chicken breast really well and remove the pieces of fat that are attached.
Hammer or roll flat
Mix the Mrs Dash seasoning, the crushed red pepper flakes and the turmeric. (Mustard powder can be substituted for ground turmeric in a one to one ratio. You can also add a pinch of saffron for a more turmeric-like color).
Rub it into the chicken breast (both sides)
Put the breast in an oven dish
Mix extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice and pour over the breast.
Put in the oven (I use a toaster oven. It is smaller, heats up faster and keeps its heat better than the big oven) for about 10 min.
Turn the breast over and check the temperature with a meat thermometer - You will want a temp between 160 and 170 degrees Fahrenheit
Keep in the oven a little longer till the inner meat temperature is right.
Serving Size: About 10 oz makes 2 servings
