cricket, you probably aren't still looking here, but I made this and used 4TBS splenda, only 2 tsp salt, and 1 1/4 cups of water with the rest from above and it is great!! - 3/8/10

This is a great recipe! And regular ketchup has eight times more carbs than this, and this tastes better than store-bought. - 1/14/10

Splenda is not aspartame. It's sucralose. - 3/7/13

I used a 13oz can of tomato paste, 1/4c water and 1cup cider vinegar And fresh garlic. I dont use anything containing aspertame so I used a little stevia. It is seriously the best ketchup I have ever tasted. Ill never buy it again. Next time I'm going to try fresh onions as well. - 8/19/12

I make a recipe like this one, only you don't have to cook it. Just let it sit awhile to blend flavors. I used 1/4 C water in mine. - 9/22/10

  • I made this, adding 1/16 tsp of tumeric,1/8th of cloves and a bit of pepper. I blendered it together and then cooked it down to make it thicker. Just don`t sniff it when cooking it! Oh my sinuses! - 1/17/13

  • Should have read the comments first...I would have gone with less vinegar (maybe 1/2 cup) and added 1/2 cup water. Also added a dash of pumpkin pie spice. I also left out the salt since that's my objection to bottled ketchup. Will make again but with those changes. - 8/8/12

  • Is this recipe correct? Doesn't look like enough ingredients to make 100 Tablespoons of catsup... I'm thinking something (water maybe) is missing???? - 2/13/11

  • I made this last weekend when I ran out of ketchup for cola chicken and I was amazed at how good it tasted and how easy it was to make. I did add a significant amount more of Splenda however--about 4 T. Very good. - 11/13/10
