Wow this recipe is YUMMMMY!!! Doesn't look like enough oatmeal but it is...also if you do not have a blender you can just mash the banana with a fork and add it in the oatmeal with the milk and mix together. Excellent oatmeal recipe! - 6/8/10

You don't need to blend the banana with the milk. Just slice the banana thinly & stir it in with the oatmeal & milk. After cooking, the banana is very soft, so stir it to break up the slices. I prefer getting little bits of banana in a spoonful. You won't have to wash the blender. - 3/15/13

I upped the milk to 1/2 cup and the peanut butter to 1 Tbsp for 260 calories and lots of yummy flavor. Expected it to need some sweet (thinking Splenda), but it was great without. Yummy - thanks for sharing! Will rotate this with my regular oatmeal recipe. - 3/8/10

I have been eating this for 2 years :) still not sick of it ...Lost 100+ lbs --- make it slightly different but basically the same idea.

I'm not a huge fan of oatmeal, but this was wonderful! I used 1/4 cup of soy milk instead of skim milk and a whole banana instead of half. I also added 1/4 cup of raisins, and my oh my was this ever tasty! Thank you very much, I will be making this again! - 4/5/10

I also added another 1/4 c. of skim milk.
    The banana makes sugar unnecessary.
The peanut butter makes the oatmeal more filling & satisfying.
This is going to be a regular at our house!! - 5/1/12

AMAZING! I HATE oatmeal, but I could eat this for every meal of every day!!!! I added about a 1/4 more liquid (water, as to not add more calories). FABULOUS! - 2/28/12

I'll have to try this, similar to my PB & Banana sandwich but in oatmeal form! - 1/18/11

I really enjoyed this recipe and it has become a regular rotation. I do use 1/2 cup of milk and slice up the other half of the banana and sprinkle on top with some nuts to add some other textures. Really love the peanut butter! - 7/31/12

I saw this recipe last night and HAD to try it this morning. It was stellar! I am going to add this to my "breakfast list"! Three things I love all in one, it is perfect. - 11/6/10

I make this often but I drizzle some Agave Syrup over it. SO yummy! Oh and I just slice the banana instead. - 7/10/12

Absolutely Incredible! I wish I would have thought about this combination earlie. I have been looking for a way to season homemade oatmeal that I like - this absolutely is it! - 5/26/12

Really good! Planning to make it again for breakfast tomorrow, but next time I think I'll add a little more milk than 1/4 cup, it's a little drier than I prefer. - 1/30/12

As other members have recommended, just slice bananas into oatmeal, so not as time consuming. Put a sprinkle of cinnamon just before eating & this keeps me going all morning! - 4/24/17

I thought this would be a "just OK" breakfast to try for something different. This is REALLY GOOD with or without the peanut butter. Like another member commented, no need to blend the bananas ; just cut them into slices and microwave with the rest. They "melt" into the oatmeal. A new favorite! - 4/16/17

This sounds SCRUMPTIOUS! Going to try it tomorrow using PB2 instead of regular peanut butter. That will cut about 30 calories and will not sacrifice any flavor! Now I can't wait til tomorrow's breakfast! - 4/19/16

I prefer regular old-fashion oatmeal not microwave.
I use a 3:1 water and milk for the liquid noted in the cooking directions.
one banana mashed, 1 tbsp honey, cinnamon to taste and a little brown sugar.
Cook the oatmeal first and than add in the other remaining ingedients. - 9/30/12

I added 1/2 tablespoon of light butter and 1 envelope of Splenda.
Otherwise its very good... - 5/20/12
