I'd make this the main dish, not a side. Serve between six with a green veg. - 9/26/13

You line the inside of your crockpot with foil, leaving enough sticking up to cover the potatoes while they are cooking. It helps to spray a little oil on the foil before you start putting your food in. The foil isn't really necessary, but makes clean up a whole lot easier than scrubbing! - 9/26/13

Easily converted to lower carb, as well! Use full fat, not low, REAL bacon, and cauliflower in lieu of potatoes. Even tastier, too! - 9/23/14

This is so good. I highly recommend this! The first time I made this, I was concerned about there not being enough liquid and some of the cheese (that was touching the sides) burned. But it was still so good! I just made it again and added 2 cups of chicken broth. It's a bit soupy but still so good! - 1/27/14

Enjoyed it, used as a main dish does need something else but not sure what. - 10/3/13

Served for dinner tonight but really had trouble stopping with just one portion. I agree with Doreen that it would be an awesome main dish! - 9/26/13

I have added ham and at times pork, it's more of an meal. Some salad , veggies or both and dinner is done. You can never go wrong with potatoes , cheese and bacon, but eat too much. - 9/23/14

I would just spray the crockpot with Butter Flavored Pam instead of using the foil. It sounds like a waste of foil to me. Otherwise I will make it for next Sunday's pot luck. Thanks for sharing. - 9/29/13

Explain the foil thing...not clear to me...
So you get a large pc. of foil to cover the crockpot and place all on the foil and then cover the whole packet down over the ingredients... - 9/26/13
