Teriyaki Sirloin Steak

1/2 cup reduced or low-sodium soy sauce1/4 cup olive oil1/4 cup packed brown sugar2 tsp. ground mustard2 tsp. ground ginger1 tsp. garlic powder (or fresh equivalent)12 oz. boneless beef sirloin steak, divided into 4 pieces
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first six ingredients; add the steak. Seal bag and turn to coat, refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
Drain and discard marinade. Grill steaks, covered, over medium heat for 5-8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (check with thermometer; 145 degrees for medium-rare, 160 medium, or 170 well done).
Steak can also be broiled.
