Apple Breakfast Cookies

Ingredients
1/3 c. brown sugar2/3 c. softened margarine1 egg1 tsp. vanilla¾ c. flour½ tsp. baking powder½ tsp. cinnamon½ tsp. salt1 ½ c. oatmeal1 c. shredded cheddar cheese¾ c. dried cherries1 c. chopped apple
Directions
Cream together sugar and butter; add egg, vanilla, then flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. Add oats and cheese; stir in cherries and apple. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator, or in loosely covered container at room temperature.

Makes 24 cookies.
