Healthy and Tasty Guacamole
- Number of Servings: 12
Ingredients
Directions
2 Avocados1 Small Onion (minced)1 Clove Garlic (Or minced garlic from a jar)1 Tbsp. Lemon or Lime Juice (optional)
Cut open avocados and scoop them out. Discard skin and pits. Use a fork or mixer to blend the avocados until smooth.
Next, add some minced onions and garlic to taste. Add a little lemon juice for an extra kick. Serve immediately with natural low-fat corn tortillas chips to keep the calorie count down. Enjoy!
*Note* I was not sure of that actual serving size so I had to estimate. The serving size for salsa is about 2 Tbsp. so I'm guessing that it would be around the same for this. I just wanted to share the recipe. :)

This is so close to my family recipe that I have only a couple of clarifications: ONLY HAAS avocados have the consistent taste and texture worthy of a great guacamole. Lime juice is not optional. Fresh juice is best, bottled juice in a pinch. The key is to use a pastry blender to mash it. - 6/12/11
