vegetarian split pea soup

Ingredients
2 cups (1lb) dry split peas8 cups vegetable broth, or bouillon and water1/2 onion, diced1/2 green bell pepper, diced1 carrot, diced1 celery stalk, diced1 potato, diced1 garlic clove, mincedjuice of 1/2 limesaltpepper oreganorosemarychili powdercumin
Directions
add broth, vegetable, and peas in a pot. bring to a boil and simmer, stirring often, until peas are tender. season to taste with salt, pepper, lime juice, oregano, rosemary, chili powder and/or cumin. add water if soup becomes too thick. adjust seasoning.
