I love steel cut oats. You can cut down on cooking time by adding water to oats at night then let them soak in the fridge overnight. - 9/8/09

I made this with out milk or brown sugar, added two cut up green apples with skin.

I then put it into small bowls and take to work and nuke it for a few min. I was set for the week.

Yummy and still on my plan. - 9/15/09

Stupid question, but what is steel cut oats? - 1/8/09

Steel cut oats is where the oat grain, instead of being steamed and rolled as in rolled oats, is just cut into two or three pieces. I get it at one of the Wal-Marts close by in the cereal section close to the rolled oats. The other Wal-Marts around here don't have it.

I cut this in 1/4 to just make enough for breakfast today. Cut the cooking time to 10 minutes. It is SO good! - 9/5/09

I definately plan to make this soon. Is it something that should be eaten the same day or can I store it in the fridge for the week? Thanks! - 12/14/08

This should be eaten right away for best texture and flavor.
