Yes... due to cross-contamination, oats MUST be specifically labeled "Gluten Free" - Bob's Red Mill makes some.

I know they are not gluten-free. I know people that have to eat that way know this. But I didn't have the package to enter the nutritional information from so I grabbed this ingredient so the nutritional information would show up.

By nature oats are gluten free, but are often contaminated with wheat during processing. There are at least two brands of gluten free oats available (one is actually called Gluten Free Oats and the other is made by Bob's Red Mill). I would definitely avoid using Quaker oats. - 8/18/10

My family loved these muffins! We only got 15 really small muffins. They don't raise very much. Next time I'll make 12 larger muffins. They were really easy to remove from the muffin tin. Thanks for sharing! - 5/21/11

We are new to the gluten-free thing. I thought oats contained gluten so were on the list of things you couldn't eat. - 2/26/10

Definitely buy Bob's red mill. Oats that you can eat are labeled as gluten-free oats. Sorry, I just grabbed that ingredient so the nutritional information would show up.

No I haven't. I have thought about it though. If you try it, let me know how they turn out.
