Introduction

*Tweaked a bit *Tweaked a bit
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

1 cup cooked green lentils (I find they do better as meat in this recipe)

1/4 warm water OR 1/4 cup liquid vegetable broth ( I like it with the broth better, if you use the broth DON'T use the water)

1/2 - 1 tsp soul seasoning *not listed in ingredients and calories because it wasn't listed

    1/4 -1/2 tsp cumin

Tips

I leave out the starch sometimes. Depends on my mood. If you do, let the lentils cook longer until the liquid has soaked up.

I put caramelized onions, cashew sour cream and lettuce on mine but you can put avocado pesto (link), salsa, etc on yours.

If this isn't "meaty" enough try 1 1/2 tsp of soul seasoning instead.

Directions

1. Put water(or broth), seasoning and lentils in a pan
2.Cook and occasionally stir for about 10 minutes on low heat so seasoning can soak into lentils.
3. Raise heat to medium heat.
4.You can leave the lentils as they are at this point or mash them up using a masher and a fork (to get those that didn't mash up from the masher)

5. Enjoy!
