I made this a few nights ago. Served it over multi grain rice. Very yummy and filling. Left overs were good for work lunches for a few days. Freezes well too. - 1/11/09

This recipe is great! But I did spice it up! I added more ginger and used chopped garlic instead of powder! I also used 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce and 1 tbsp low sodium teriyaki sauce. I also added some red pepper flake for heat. I stir fried some veggies and served it with that.

Loved this!I served it over white rice and added sauteed broccoli to the dish to up the veggies.
Also, I never use corn starch to thicken, I have a couple different tricks, but for this recipe I pureed about half a can of carrots w/ some of the pineapple and stirred it in to thicken, upping the veg

It is the crock pot now - easy to prepare - followed other comments and added minced garlic, ginger and added chili pepper flakes. I also left out the brown sugar since some say too sweet. We will see how it is after work. - 1/20/09

A little bland for my families tastes, we like foods with more of a kick. Recipe was easy to make and directions easy to follow. Thanks - 12/5/08
