Introduction

I got this from an old cookbook I found at a second hand store. It tastes like the pizza burgers we used to eat for school lunches. YUMMY!! Kids love these!! Ingredients

    1 lb ground beef
    1 6oz can tomato paste(hunts)
    1 med onion diced
    parm. cheese, grated, to taste
    2 cloves garlic minced
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 pkg cheddar cheese
    1 pkg hamburger buns
    1 teaspoon franks red hot sauce

Directions

cook ground beef and drain. add onion, garlic, tomato paste, parm. cheese, salt and pepper, and hot sauce. mix together well. split hamburger buns and lay flat on cookie sheet. top each bun with meat mixture and then top each one with cheddar cheese. bake 350 until cheese is melted and buns are chrisp. about 10 min.

    This reminds me of when I was a kid in middle school, it was my favorite cafeteria meal! These were delicious and easily able to make changes! Will absolutely make again. - 11/9/10

    Can't wait to make this. When I was in highschool, this recipe brought back wonderful memories. Looking for this for years, my daughter found this one. To think, it was here on spark all along. One exception is, I'll use english muffins instead. That's the way we had them. - 7/18/11
