Introduction

A taco salad with all the 'bells.' A taco salad with all the 'bells.'
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/4 lb. extra-lean ground beef
    1/2 cup black beans, canned
    Onion powder
    1/2 clove garlic
    2 T. fat free sour cream
    1/4 cup shredded 2% cheddar cheese
    2 T. salsa
    A plate full of salad greens!

Directions

Brown the beef, then add the garlic and onion powder. Mix the black beans with the beef to heat them. Top your plate of salad greens with the beef/bean mixture and remaining ingredients and enjoy!

You can make a larger amount of the beef and bean mixture to refrigerate and use multiple times!

    Not sure why people are complaining about 315 calories being a lot - I think that's great for a meal! You could eat four meals a day at 315 calories and be at only 1260 which would be low-range for almost everyone!

    Very filling, but I could make a better tasting taco salad off the top of my head, for fewer calories. But still good. I don't really like the spice combo of fresh garlic and onion powder, and would suggest substituting taco seasoning. - 8/14/07
