Made them into cupcakes and had 24 servings cutting the calories in half
I made this for the kids with a white cake mix and diet orange soda and I put sugar free cool whip on the top of mine, they all said it was delicious but, I thought it was crumbly, did I do something wrong? I added about 12 oz of diet orange crush soda. It was still super moist and delicious.
This is utterly delicious. Does not hold together too well, but still yummy. I used diet 7 UP and Red Velvet Cake Mix. Drizzled chocolate sauce over top (not too much) and topped with cool whip. About 150 calories per 1 1/2" x 4" piece. Will make again.
I use this twice so far. Whte cake with diet coke and chocolate with coke zero. next I am trying german chocolate and cherry coke zero. I top with fat free cool whip but might try it with sliced fruit one time. Definetely good when you are in the moood for a lower calorie dessert
I have made this quite a few times with various flavors of diet soda. My favorite was vanilla cake mix with cream soda. Everyone is always surprised that it it a whole lot less calories and fat than other cakes.
I tried Devils Food and Cherry Coke Zero, And then just sprinkled a little powdered (confectioners) sugar on top. It was one of the best birthday cakes I ever made myself!
The carbonated drink makes this very moist and delicious. Just put fruit and cool whip on top and enjoy! I have made this several times and am thinking about trying to make a cake from scratch using only dry ingredients and the diet soda.
