Ingredients
-
Pie Crust:
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 & 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup softened butter
1/4 cup warm water
Pie Filling:
4 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup sugar
1 & 1/2 pounds blackberries
Directions
Pie Crust:
In a medium bowl, mix flour and salt well. Use a pastry blender or two knives to cut in softened butter. Gently stir in water. Divide crust into balls. Roll out into 9 inch circles. Place one circle into your pie pan. Then prepare pie filling.
Pie Filling:
In a medium bowl, mix cornstarch and sugar well. Add berries. Mix gently until coated. Berries will be a bit "squishy" and that is normal. Pour filling into pie pan ontop of first crust. Top with remaining crust circle. Pinch edges so that crusts form a seal. Poke holes into top crust with fork or toothpick. This will allow steam to escape.
Bake your pie at 350 degrees for about 40-60 minutes. Pie is finished when crust is golden - do not allow to burn. Set pie aside and allow to cool for at least two hours. Enjoy!
