Ingredients

    Fish, 0.5 kg, of mackerel persuasion
    Sweet potato, chopped, 1 cup
    1 turmeric leaf
    15 stalks edible ferns
    5 stalks polygnum leaves (laksa leaves)
    10 pieces kaduk leaves (chinese moon creeper)
    1 cup uncooked rice, the starchier the better
    Fermented fish sauce (worcestershire sauce can do in a pinch)

Directions

Bake the fish at 20 mins at 170 C, wrapped in banana leaves. Add rice, sweet potato and flaked, debined fish in with 4 cups of water. After 30 mins simmering on a slow fire, add the rest of the ingredients. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
