Cleochatra's Best Ever Revol-Oopsie Rolls

Submitted by: MANALOA

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 large eggs, separated
    1 pkg Splenda (1 tbsp)
    dash of salt
    pinch of cream of tartar
3 ounces cream cheese (not Tbsp!) Do not soften!

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Separate the eggs and add Splenda, salt, and
cream cheese to the yolks. Use a mixer to
combine the ingredients together. In a separate
bowl, whip egg whites and cream of tartar until
stiff (if you're using the same mixer, mix the whites
first and then the yolk mixture).

Using a spatula, gradually fold the egg yolk
mixture into the white mixture, being careful not to
break down the whites.

Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray and
spoon the mixture onto the sheet, making 6
mounds.

Flatten each mound slightly.

Bake about 30 minutes (You want them slightly
softer, not crumbly).
Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes, and then
remove to a rack and allow them to cool.
Store them in a bread sack or a ziplock bag to
keep them from drying out.

Makes 6.

  • I really like these. I need to get better at making them, though. My first try was good, but flat. Going to keep trying, though. This is a great bread substitute and can be just about anything I want, depending on what spices I add. - 7/7/09

  • Theses were really good. I was skeptacle being that I tasted one plain and didn't like it, but as a sandwich, it was really good. I added a 1/2 tsp of baking powder to mine to make them a little puffier. - 6/22/09

  • When you think your egg whites are stiff, whip 'em some more! - 6/22/08

  • I made these yesterday. They weren't as tall as I'd hoped, but that was my fault. I didn't whip the egg whites stiff enough.
I used one for a sandwich. Delicious. I used another for French toast in the morning. Great!
    I'll be making a LOT of these. - 3/11/08
