Introduction

My dad's "bachelor recipe" that we now like as much as the homemade version. This version is much less labor intensive! Good comfort fodd for rainy day. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 carton low fat chicken broth
    1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
    1 can sliced carrots
    1 stalks celery; chopped
    1 onion; chopped
    2 T Butter
    1 can chicken
    3 cans cheap biscuits
    *Seasoning to taste (poultry seasoning, pepper, extra chicken bullion, onion powder, etc.)

Tips

Do not overstir or bisuits will dissolve!

Can add additional vegetables like some frozen peas, or substitue the can of carrots for a can of mixed vegetables for more color and variety.


Directions

Saute onion & celery in butter til soft.
Add everything but biscuits and bring to a boil.
Quarter biscuits and drop in.
Stir occasionally until dumplings shrink and sink

Serving Size: 4 bowls (approx 2 cups ea)
