Ingredients

    3/4 cup brown sugar

    1/2 cup sugar

    1/4 cup margarine

    3/4 cup applesauce

    1 egg

    3 TB milk

    2 tsp vanilla

    1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

    1 tsp baking soda

    1 tsp cinnamon

    3 cups oats, uncooked

    1 cup raisins or chocolate chips (chocolate chips included in nutrition info)

Tips

Try any type of dried fruit pieces and/or nuts. Wonderful served warm with hot milk poured over and a cup of coffee.


Directions

Heat oven to 350. Beat sugars anad margarine together. Add applesauce, egg, milk and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix well. Stir in ats and raisins. Spread dough into an ungreased 13 x 19 inch baking pan. Bake 25-30 minutes. Makes about 24 bars.
